Our shop is staffed Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. Most of our staff have been employed in the business for many years and have an excellent understanding of our client’s requirements. We also endeavour to have a veterinarian on site or in contact at all times to assist with any questions that clients […]

Dairy

All of our vets have significant experience in the area of dairy cow health and production. We work closely with clients in the areas of reproductive performance, mastitis and lameness control and treatment, herd health and basic cow nutrition.

Small Animals

The Hunterville Vet Club carries out all routine small animal services. Our strength is in the area of working dog health, especially traumatic injuries and orthopaedic cases. Our experienced staff are also very capable with all soft tissue surgery and sick animal case work ups.

Sheep and Beef

Our staff are very familiar with our local region and are up to date with animal health issues on farm. We provide knowledge and skills not only in all production animal health cases, but also whole farm management.

Equine

Gary covers all equine work, lameness work ups, wound management, sick animals, etc. Mac, Jordan and Martin are also familiar with routine equine requirements.

The Hunterville Veterinary Club Inc. is a Club in the true sense of the word. There are a limited number of Clubs left in New Zealand and being a Club, our primary focus is offering our loyal members excellent services and merchandise at extremely competitive prices.

We have in excess of 300 members, and because of the size of our clientele and business we are in a position to negotiate very good terms on the prices of products which we can then pass on to our members.

We are a ‘Small Country Practice’ in terms of friendly service but by no means a ‘Country Bumpkin’. As well as your day to day veterinary and product requirements we have all of the extra services you may require; for example horse dentistry, bull service / semen testing, orthopaedic surgery and stifle reconstruction.

Our shop hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday and we have a vet on call for emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Collection of product outside shop hours is available by arrangement.
